The Heart Behind The Salt Sanctuary
The Salt Sanctuary began as a dream more than ten years ago.
After watching my brother struggle with asthma, my mother face recurring asthma and pneumonia, and later seeing my nephew deal with ongoing sinus and congestion challenges, I became passionate about exploring additional wellness resources that could support the people I loved. As someone who has been interested in holistic wellness since my teenage years, I was always searching for ways to complement traditional approaches to health and well-being.
More than a decade ago, I discovered halotherapy and began visiting salt therapy centers with my dad. I was fascinated by the concept and the experience, so much so that I developed a complete business plan long before The Salt Sanctuary ever existed. While life took me in many directions, the dream never truly left.
Years later, after experiencing my own challenges with pneumonia and seasonal allergies, I found myself returning to salt therapy once again. What started as a personal wellness practice reignited a vision I had carried for years.
Around that same time, my partner in business and in life, Jay, and I began discussing ideas for the future. When I shared the original business plan I had created years earlier, we both knew there was something special there. Together, we decided it was finally time to bring the vision to life.
The Salt Sanctuary was created to offer a peaceful, welcoming space where people can slow down, breathe deeply, and explore another option for supporting their wellness. While halotherapy is not intended to replace medical care, we believe people deserve access to tools and experiences that can complement their overall wellness journey.
Everything we do is guided by our core values: Restore, Breathe, Integrity, Purpose, and Welcoming.
Thank you for being part of our story. We are honored to be part of yours.
This booth is only the beginning. Our long-term vision is to create a larger sanctuary with dedicated spaces for adults, children, movement, and intentional wellness experiences. Every guest, every member, and every founding supporter helps bring that vision one step closer to reality.
"Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?" — Psalm 85:6
What Halotherapy Is Commonly Used For
-
We believe wellness is personal, and that people deserve access to information and resources that help them make informed decisions about their health.
According to the Halotherapy Association and existing research, halotherapy is commonly explored for a variety of wellness purposes and is often incorporated into personal health and wellness routines.
While many individuals report positive experiences, halotherapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and should not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Individual experiences may vary, and we encourage guests to work with their healthcare providers when making decisions about their health and wellness.

In Weatherford, Aledo, Hudson Oaks, Fort Worth, and throughout North Texas, seasonal allergies can be a year-round challenge. From cedar fever in the winter to spring tree pollen, summer grasses, and fall ragweed, many local residents experience ongoing exposure to environmental allergens throughout the year.
As a result, seasonal allergies are one of the most common reasons guests explore halotherapy. Many individuals incorporate salt therapy into their wellness routines during periods of high pollen counts, seasonal changes, and increased environmental exposure as part of their overall approach to respiratory and seasonal wellness.
